TalentMarlow runs talentmarlow.com, a recruitment listing site for part-time handmade work carried out at home in Malaysia. We are based in Kuala Lumpur and can be reached at careers@talentmarlow.com, Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm Malaysia time. This policy explains what personal data we handle when you visit the site, tap one of its buttons or contact us, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 in mind.
The site itself has no application form. Nothing you type is stored by the website. Personal data reaches us in two ways only:
Like most websites, the servers that deliver the pages record basic technical details for each request: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. The Apply buttons point to a short address on our own domain, /go, which keeps a running total of how many times it has been used. That total is a single number. It is not linked to your name, number or device.
Sending the WhatsApp message is needed for the recruiter to process an application; without it there is nothing for us to act on. Everything else in the chat is up to you, and you can stop replying at any time.
Applicants are not asked for passwords, one-time codes, online banking log-ins, card numbers or copies of identity documents through this site or in the WhatsApp chat. If someone claiming to be TalentMarlow asks for any of these, do not send them, and tell us at careers@talentmarlow.com.
We do not sell applicant details, rent them out or use them to send marketing. If a different employer later has a listing that might suit you, we ask first before passing anything on.
The employer behind the listing you chose receives the details needed to arrange your batches. We tell you who that employer is before your details are shared. Beyond that, a small number of service providers handle data for us as part of running the site.
Each of these providers handles data under its own privacy terms. Before we add a new service to the site, this page is updated first.
We may disclose personal data where a law, court order or government authority requires it, or where it is needed to protect someone from harm or to investigate fraud.
Applying here happens in two steps: tapping the button, then sending the message that opens. Opening WhatsApp does not send anything by itself. Your application only reaches us after you press Send, and anything written in that chat is kept on WhatsApp as well as with us.
The site does not set cookies of its own. The Google Ads tag loaded through Google Tag Manager can place cookies that link a visit to the advert it came from, including Google's conversion linker. Blocking or clearing cookies in your browser does not stop the site from working.
We run adverts on Google. When a visitor taps Apply or one of the WhatsApp buttons, the Google Ads conversion tag (AW-17522782474) tells Google that a tap happened, so we can see which adverts lead to enquiries. Your name, phone number and messages are never placed in these events. Enhanced conversions, Customer Match and remarketing lists are not in use on this site.
Cloudflare, Google and WhatsApp operate servers in several countries, so data may be processed outside Malaysia. We only use providers that apply recognised security standards to the data they handle.
WhatsApp chats and emails are kept for up to 12 months after our last contact with you, then deleted. Server logs are kept for no more than 30 days. Backups roll over within a further 30 days. You can ask for deletion sooner at any time.
Access to applicant chats and email is limited to the people handling applications. The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS, and the page that manages the /go link is password-protected.
Once an employer has received your details for a listing, they hold their own copy under their own obligations. We can pass on a correction or deletion request, but we cannot delete data that sits with the employer or with WhatsApp.
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted, by writing to careers@talentmarlow.com. We reply within 30 days. You can withdraw your interest in a listing at any time; this stops further sharing but cannot pull back details an employer already has.
No decision about you is made by software alone. A person reads every message that reaches us.
The listings are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and if we find we have, we delete it.
If you are unhappy with how your data has been handled, email us and explain what happened. We will look into it again and give you a written answer.
When we add or remove a service, or change how data is used, this page is updated and the date at the top changes.
